AR5710 - Research

Below is some of the research I did for my figures

https://www.quora.com/How-do-I-learn-doodle-drawing

try to buy some fineliners like the Copic Multiliner of 0.5 or 0.3 mm:

Give you drawings a bit more depth by using a grey marker. This works like magic. Add a few lines and your drawings look like a pro. The grey markers I've used in these drawings are also Copic, Cool Gray No.3:

The most important part of the doodle is actually not the drawing but first of all writing. Learn a very clean handwriting in capitals. What I did was...

Try to find out some stick figures that are easy to draw. When you are taking notes you don't have much time to create beautiful art. Your stick figures should be fast and effective.

Learn to let this figure point to things or sit down or jump or think. Use all the tricks and emoticons from comics to make this stick figure come alive:

I wasn't sure on how to make my characters look in certain directions, so it was suggested I find out....
http://www.stanprokopenko.com/blog/2009/05/draw-head-any-angle/ - this link wasn't particularly useful as my characters are simple.
http://www.drawastickman.com/ - this link took me to a stick man game. I didnt care for the way you draw your people and objects, but the simple story lines and words used I do enjoy..

http://www.cybercomputing.co.uk/ICT/Design/storyboard.htm - saw this as i reading about story boards; "It is more difficult for me to convince you it is vital for a single person's creative endeavor! Just let me say this - you need to do it to obtain top marks! 'Nuff said!" it resonates true!
